electric heater that I plugged in but after a couple of hours of being on I realized it really wasn't working.
After Jim woke up I made eggs, toast,
veggie sausage and tea for brunch. Not a very exciting Valentine's Day meal but it was good. Funny thing I blew the circuit breaker again. I was trying to toast the bread in our mini toaster oven and I even had Jimmy plug it into another outlet away from the kitchen. The eggs were cooking in the electric skillet and then boom...lights out.
Now that Jim is in a clinical trial we were thinking about applying for residency back at the Hope Lodge. Our lease is up March 5th and most likely we could get into the Lodge before then. There are pros and cons about going back there. Most importantly it is FREE. We would have more space, a functioning kitchen, heat that we can control and other people to talk to. The down side is the neighborhood. It is across from Penn Station in a not so nice part of town. It is a good 30-45 minute shuttle ride to the clinic depending on the time of day. Debby and Tom are coming to visit the last weekend in February and Sara is coming the following weekend. If we were staying in the Hope Lodge Sara would not be able to stay with us and we would be far from Deb and Tom's hotel when they come. So we have decided to apply for admission to the Lodge beginning March 8th. Hopefully we will qualify.
Thanks to the organizations LoveHopeStrength.org and Bethematch.org Jimmy has a donor waiting to give his bone marrow selflessly to him. Now we just have to get Jim ready.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!
