Another Pleasant Valley Sunday, here in status symbol land.

We were able to sleep in on the first morning of daylight savings. Luckily our bed is very comfortable and noise is kept to a minimum if the windows are closed. Jim's appointment for shot number 2 wasn't until 3:15 so we had time to eat a leisurely breakfast and enjoy the morning. We had to take the 1:30 shuttle to get to the appointment on time. They don't run as often on the weekend and we arrived over an hour early. Luckily the nurse took Jim early. We've had her before and she was very nice. Jim had a raised red tender bump on the inside of his forearm that he had her look at. She suggested he go to the Urgent Care (still within the hospital) and have them take a look at it. So we did.

What we thought would be a quick half hour visit turned into a 2 1/2 hour sit and wait ordeal. We waited for a nurse practitioner to see him and then we waited for blood draw. After two tries they were able to get blood and then we waited for the results. Finally we gathered our things and waited at the nurses station for answers. The NP wrote a prescription for an antibiotic but Jimmy will wait to run it by Dr. Horwitz in the morning to make sure it will not interfere with the clinical trial.

We left the hospital and walked a mile to Whole Foods. Afterwards it was getting late so we took a cab back to the Lodge. Jim doesn't always have an appetite but he managed to eat 2 lamb chops, basil potatoes and a salad for dinner. I made salmon for myself. Basketball and Hilary Clinton Town Hall for our television time. What a combo.
